One hundred years ago over 200 African Americans were forcibly removed from the city of Corbin. Join us for a historical remembrance of the events of 1919, recognizing the centennial of this episode in our town’s past. Come experience the exhibit “October 30th, 1919,” and see first-hand accounts of this important historical event and a special installation honoring those that were forced to leave our city. The exhibit will remain up through the end of the week. Prior to the exhibit opening there will be a vespers service and remembrance from 6-6:30 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 701 E Engineer St.
